About Me

I am first, a Christian.  Jesus is my example, inspiration, and savior.  I fail often, and it is His grace that renews me and continues to give me hope in the middle of challenging times.

Then, I am a wife.  Rick Boneski and I will celebrate 25 years this October, 2012.  We have grown from friends and marriage partners, into life-long, faithful compadres.  He listens to my many words with kindness and understanding.  A kindred spirit is an amazing gift.

I am also a devoted mommy to my five kids, ages 21 down to 13.  They keep life busy and eventful, the good, the bad, and the ugly; but mostly the good.  I am passionate about them and their futures, sometimes to a fault. I have home-educated them in some form all through the years, and it has been a privilege to serve them.

There are days when I am an employee.  My job is amazing!  I get to teach childbirth, babycare, and breastfeeding classes for a highly respected hospital system.  I love it!  I get paid to share encouragement and practical support to parents-in-the-making.

Then, of course, I am just me.  April (Ahola) Boneski, born in California to two Northwest parents.  So, my toes are webbed, even if I moved here late in my high school years.  I love my mama.  I said good-bye to my Dad in April (2012), and know that I will see him soon in Heaven.

And then, I am a writer.  This blog is great exercise for me.  Thank you for reading. May you be encouraged, admonished, inspired, and blessed.
